Demand Congress pass the Dream Act NOW
Since President Trump decided to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, it's been left up to our members of Congress to take action to protect nearly 800,000 DACA recipients across the country.
So far, they've done nothing, and every day they fail to act, 122 Dreamers lose their protections from deportation.
The bipartisan Dream Act introduced by Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) would provide a path to citizenship for the 1.8 million immigrant youth who grew up calling this country home, but so far, majority leaders in the House and Senate have refused to bring this bill up for a vote.
Now that Congress has passed a short-term budget with no solution for Dreamers, it's up to us to hold them accountable and demand they stop breaking their promises.
Add your name to demand Senate and House Majority Leaders Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan bring the Dream Act up for a vote now, and support it.
Dear Senator McConnell and Congressman Ryan,
Since President Trump ended the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in September 2017, you have done nothing to protect the nearly 800,000 DACA recipients who were protected under this, despite the fact that 8 out of 10 Americans supports a path to citizenship for these vulnerable immigrant youth. You've made promises to Dreamers, to your colleagues, and to your constituents to do something about this, so I'm asking you do the right thing and bring the bipartisan Dream Act up for a vote as soon as possible. Dreamers cannot afford to wait another day for Congress to take action.
